Corporate Acting Coach

1-to-1 Rehearsal

A private session with an acting coach

Every CTO has one presentation they rely on.

Make it the persuasive, powerful, ass-kicking performance it should be.

This is the Introvert CTO’s Workshop.

Advance the technical sale, the business sale, and the emotional sale at the same time. Every time.

The Technical Sale

Impress

Describe your tech in the way proven to impress business and senior technical members of your audience.

The Business Sale

Tempt

A great CTO presentation moves the business side of the sale, too. Learn how to frame and present the business elements for maximum effect.

The Emotional Sale

Excite

See how to grab the audience's attention up front, and make them want to take the next step.

A. Tell your audience what they actually want to know:

1. Why is this different?

Right from the jump, capture their attention and interest. Easy? No. But with a professional copywriter, it's about to become your tactical advantage in every meeting.

2. How do we know we can trust you?

Not your company, you individually. Establish that it's safe to accept what you say and show them.

3. How do we know this is real?

No one in your audience wants to be the one who recommended you, only to find out there was "no there, there". Allay the fear that this is all just a show.

4. What’s in it for us?

Why should they listen to the rest of your talk? What's the main benefit of buying what your company sells?

5. What's kept us from getting what we want?

Their problem isn't their fault. Maybe the solution didn't exist. Maybe the technology wasn't mature. Maybe they couldn't even have known they had a problem. Good thing they're meeting with you right now.

6. How will this help us get what we want?

Describe their positive future, when they're with you.

7. Why now?

The hardest question to answer in B2B. Again, rely on our expert to help you craft the perfect message.

8. How does it work?

Finally, you can geek out on FEATURES! But remember the underlying message for this section — "my company has done all the thinking about this problem, you don't have to."

9. What's the risk of doing nothing?

Flip from the positive future to a negative one. A future without you won't be awesome.

10. What's the next step?

Probably a deep-dive technical meeting. But whatever it is, spell it out and set it up now.

B. Learn about Audience Attention Accelerators

and the Call to Action Pathway

What are Audience Attention Accelerators?
Writing techniques that generate excitement and curiosity.
– Breaking myths or assumptions
– Stacking
– Trial closes
– Call forwards and call backs
– Future positioning
What's a Call to Action Pathway?
If you wait until the end of your talk before you pivot into a pitch, most of the audience will tune out. You’ll learn how to build a pathway from the beginning of your presentation to the end. So performing your Call to Action seems like the natural, logical next step.

What makes this workshop so special?

You walk away with something great.

In this workshop, there’s no fluff. You’re always working toward your final product. On the Livestream. In the breakout rooms. During the exercises. And in your private 1-to-1 working sessions:

You’ll create a powerfully-structured persuasive presentation.

... with one of the world's top CTO ghostwriters. (Dean's clients and students span 400 companies and 6 continents.)

... and have an award-winning corporate acting coach. (Philip has worked with the best-known brands of the past thirty years.)

You'll finish with a presentation and performance that customers will respond to. One that coworkers will marvel at and competitors will envy.

In just four hours. Not bad for the best presentation you've ever made. One you'll use over and over.

You can be “great in the room”.

Professionally assisted content, rehearsed with a professional coach, gets you there.

FAQ

When will my private 1-to-1 sessions take place?

At the end of the live event, you’ll receive links to book your sessions with Dean & Philip. Dean’s sessions are available 1-5 business days after the live session. Philip’s sessions are available 3-7 business days after the live session. We recommend booking with Dean first, so you have a completed version to rehearse with Philip.

What if English isn’t my first language?

It’s common for English to be the second language of a CTO, a customer decision maker, or someone in your audience. In this workshop, all the materials and live sessions are in American English. But don’t worry! Dean writes (and rewrites) until he gets his scripts to a 4th or 5th Grade reading level. Even very complex information is made easy to understand. Because simple, clear English is the best way to impress and be understood by the entire audience.
